Job Description
For our site in Pretoria, South Africa, we are looking for an IT and PC Administrator.
Description:
For the IT-PC Administrator duties:
• Support laptops, PC and Wireless network users;
• Setup and configuration of laptops and PC’s;
• General Windows OS support;
• Installation of software to training facility and laptops;
• Resolve office network issues
• Setup/install the work environment to support development & testing;
• Configures supports and troubleshoots the Run-Time environment;
• Sets up/installs the work environment to support development & testing;
• Configures supports and troubleshoots the Run-Time environment;
• Performs on-going maintenance of the infrastructure tools;
• Provides user support as required;
For the Unix Environment Administrator duties:
• Set up/install the work environment to support development & Testing;
• Configure support and troubleshoot the Run-Time environment;
• Perform ongoing maintenance of the infrastructure tools;
• Provide user and technical support as required;
• Be in touch with relevant Competency Center in order to be up to date with tools/knowledge enactment.

Technical Skills:
• Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) of Microsoft Windows 2000/XP is a prerequisite;
• A+, N+, MCSE and Server +;
• Windows 95/98/2000/NT/XP/Vista, Microsoft server 2000/2003;
• Microsoft Office Suite is a prerequisite
• Norton GHOST, Trend Micro, SMS 2.0 is an advantage;
• Basic knowledge of VM Ware;
• Communication protocols: TCP/IP, ISDN, ADSL, SNMP;
• Networks: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN;
• At least 5 year experience of customer support is a prerequisite;
• Knowledge in Unix is a prerequisite;
• Familiarity with shell scripts, Perl and make languages is an advantage.
